A Night With Goth Babe In Bolder

Through two feet of new snow we were able to catch Goth Babe’s final show of 2022 at the Arcteryx For The Love Of Winter film debut in Boulder Colorado.

Griffin Washburn aka Goth Babe, fresh off his new single Surfing in Iceland, both scored and featured in his first film entitled Creation Theory, which follows athletes and musicians as they share their experiences with creativity. Along with the feature film we saw four other short films from smaller directors, most notably Nexus, a ski film documenting five groups of female skiers as they share their connections to the mountains.

Griffin Washburn is a man uncorrupted by fame. He could play back to back sold out shows at massive stadiums and still make it feel like a small venue. It is this same aura that he carries with him in his personal life. After the show, he will be living for 5 months on a sailboat in mexico. He built a tiny home and regularly lives out of a camper van. He is one of the most interesting people and charismatic performers I have seen.

I’m glad I was able to stop by for what was a surreal show and we hope to catch up with him in the spring at Red Rocks.
